Fundraising letter coming home today…
It’s time for our annual “Queen Elizabeth Move-A-Thon.” This year we are setting a goal of $10,000. This money will be used to purchase new naturalized playground features (active play centres, berms, trees, seating area, etc). We had our kick off assembly today. Each child has received an envelope with an attached pledge form. As always, safety is our priority, so we are hoping that parents can help students fundraise by canvasing your neighbourhood or asking family members for their support. The staff has very generously offered a wide range of incentives for the students (e.g., principal for the day, Happy Meal lunch, SkyZone passes).
Some important information you need to know is:
- The “Move-A-Thon” will take place on April 21, 2017
- Pledge forms and money are due Wednesday April 19, 2017 (we would like all envelopes returned whether or not donations are collected).
- For every $25 your child raises they will be given a ballot (e.g., If they raise $1-25, they get one ticket. If they raise an additional $25, they will receive an additional ticket). They can then place the ballot in the ballot box of their choosing.
- If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school and someone on the organizing committee will be happy to follow up with you. We hope to reach our goal of $10,000 and any contribution helps. We look forward to a fun and active day with the students.
